On behalf of one of Canada’s leading financial
institutions we are looking for a senior Project Leader. This is a great opportunity
to join a dedicated team within a large organization.
As a member of a small and focused department you
will be expected to be of immediate assistance to the departmental manager and be
able to deputise for him as necessary. Although this role has a large component
of “shirt sleeve” type leadership we are looking for someone who is capable of
assuming a larger role in the near future.
You will be expected to be able to work independently
and with the minimum of guidance also have excellent communications skills.
Salary is dependent upon your level of experience but you should have at least
8 years of I.T. experience to be considered.
Qualifications:
Required skills:

The primary expectation is that you have extensive
experience in managing teams who are developing “industrial scale” complex
online applications in a UNIX environment – especially JAVA.
·
You will have sound knowledge of software architecture, OOA/OOD, design
and software engineering practices
·
Excellent communication skills
·
It would be nice if you had experience within the
financial services industry.
