My client is a successful worldwide
software company. Through a combination of products and consulting they have developed
an unmatched reputation for delivering high profile solutions to their clients.
Their ongoing growth has created a requirement for an Architect for Insurance
Industry applications. This Toronto based position is a great opportunity for a
candidate who enjoys responsibility and variety.
This role is multi faceted and is responsible for
insurance industry solutions design, development and implementation. In
addition you will be involved with supplying technical support for sales activities,
e.g., business or architecture discussions and assisting in pre-sales
proposals, task order and statement of work development.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding and experience with as many of
the following as possible:
· 8 years+ of full lifecycle data warehousing
experience
· A minimum of five years of business intelligence
application development experience in a SQL Server, or UNIX environment
· Architectural modeling tools (e.g. PowerDesigner or
ErWin,).
· Business Intelligence tools i.e., WebFOCUS,
Business Objects or Cognos
· Strong experience developing insurance industry
systems (P&C, life and/or health)
· Solid experience developing insurance industry data
models
· ETL tools i.e. Informatica, Ab Initio, Datastage
· Experience with one or more of the following
database engines (Oracle, DB/2, SQL Server or Teradata).
· Solid understanding of Meta Data management process
and principles.
· Ability to develop systems documentation and test
plans.
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and
written
