Candidates Perhaps you are wondering what a placement agency can do for you. After all, the advent of internet based job boards has often been touted as the solution to a company's recruiting needs. In fact most companies still continue to rely upon the services of external recruiters to help them through the often laborious task of selecting a key member of their staff. In addition, for a variety of reasons, companies often don't wish to advertise many positions to the general public. Using the right recruiter can often lead to new opportunities that you didn't even know existed! Why Use CPC? We work along with some of the leading companies in the I.T. and financial services industry to find you the ideal job. We have placements available within Canada and the United States as well as Europe. Are You A Person Or A Résumé? We hope that you answered you are a person! If so you will meet at least one of our basic criteria. But on a more serious note most agencies do not in fact treat you as a person. In many cases you do not actually meet a recruiter or, if you do, you will spend 30 minutes filling in their forms and just a few minutes in face to face interviews. They merely see you as a collection of skills that are in many cases just automatically scanned, processed and matched against current openings. Why Are We Different? Most agencies base their business around only filling current orders. We have a different approach. In addition to considering you as a potential candidate for one of our active orders we go further. Once we are satisfied that you are an excellent candidate we identify what you are looking and develop a marketing campaign based on our substantial network of contacts to find you the ideal position. opens doors to EU workers Do you fancy the idea of living and working in Switzerland? Well, if you are the holder of a European Union passport you now can. Although Switzerland is not a member country of the EU, a referendum held on February 8th. 2009 has approved an agreement for the free movement of workers from the European Union on its territory. This applies to all members of the EU including the newly admitted states of Bulgaria and Romania. You
may be able to get a EU passport Do you know that it may be easier to get an EU passport than you think? Certain countries, Ireland and Italy amongst them, have made it quite easy to get citizenship and of course a passport. What do you need? Well at least one of your Grandparents must have (or had) the appropriate citizenship. What does this mean for you? Well, after we informed one of our candidates about this possibility, he was able to use the fact that one of his Grandparents was born in Ireland to get an Irish passport. CPC was then able to help him find a job in Germany. What are the differences between the various programming languages? With the proliferation of programming languages it is difficult to determine the differences between them. This humorous yet insightful summary will amuse and possibly inform.
